Wayne Rooney turns down Manchester United's offer of contract talks?

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has reportedly rejected advances from the club over discussions regarding a new contract.

The England international has publicly stated that he is settled at Old Trafford following two rejected bids from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

However, the 27-year-old's camp have turned down the chance to discuss fresh terms as the striker is still considering a United exit at the end of the season, or as early as January, according to Goal.com.

Reports have claimed that the former Everton player is leaning towards a move as he wants to take on a new challenge at another club playing Champions League football.

Rooney's current deal expires at the end of next season.
