Cristiano Ronaldo's relationship with Manchester United's interim boss Ralf Rangnick has broken down, according to a report.

Cristiano Ronaldo's relationship with Manchester United's interim boss Ralf Rangnick has reportedly broken down.

Rangnick has struggled to turn the club's fortunes around since replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November, with the Red Devils winning only four of their last 10 matches across all competitions.

According to AS, Rangnick does not have the support of the squad's 'heavyweights', including Ronaldo, who does not believe the German is at the required level to manage the club.

The Portugal international is also believed to have been left frustrated with Rangnick after the 63-year-old criticised the forward and his attacking teammates for not performing in front of goal.

Ronaldo has netted 14 times across all competitions this season, but the 37-year-old has failed to score in each of his last six matches.

Despite Ronaldo's underwhelming return to Old Trafford, the report adds that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is happy living in Manchester and he intends to play for the Red Devils next season, despite reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, his future will depend on whether Rangnick is handed the managerial job on a permanent basis in the summer.
