Report: Valencia launch bid for Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley

Valencia have reportedly contacted Manchester United regarding the possible signing of midfielder Tom Cleverley.

The England international has struggled to make his mark at Old Trafford over the last couple of seasons.

With the arrivals of Ander Herrera and Angel di Maria, the 25-year-old is unlikely to figure as a regular first-team player under manager Louis van Gaal.

A number of clubs have been linked with the midfielder, but according to Sky Sports News, La Liga side Valencia have entered the fray by making an offer to United.

Aston Villa are also believed to be considering an £8m bid for Cleverley, who moved to United as a youth player in 2000.
