Report: Real Madrid want Lucas Biglia

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia.

The 29-year-old, who is currently on Copa America duty with Argentina, has been previously linked with a move to Manchester United.

However, according to reports in Spain, Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez is a strong admirer of the deep-lying defensive midfielder.

It is understood that Benitez will still give Asier Illarramendi and Lucas Silva chances to impress in pre-season, however, despite the duo reportedly being surplus to requirements.

Biglia moved to European football with Anderlecht in 2006, before joining Lazio in 2013.
