Report: Manchester United tracking Newport County's Regan Poole

Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in signing young Newport County defender Regan Poole.

The 16-year-old, who joined Newport's academy in the summer, has been linked with several teams since making his debut for the League Two side last month.

According to The Sun, Poole impressed United officials during a recent week-long trial at Carrington, with the Premier League side planning to keep an eye on his progress.

However, manager Justin Edinburgh has insisted that the club is keen to keep hold of him for the near future.
