Report: Manchester United watch Benfica's Renato Sanches against Bayern Munich

A report claims that Manchester United once again scouted Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches in Wednesday's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

Manchester United reportedly scouted Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches once again in Wednesday's Champions League clash between the youngster's Portuguese club and Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford over the last couple of months, with Man United believed to be prepared to part with £40m to bring the Portugal international to England.

It is understood that Man United have scouted the midfielder extensively in 2016 and according to Manchester Evening News, representatives of the 20-time English champions watched Sanches against Bayern.

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in a player that is said to have a £60m release clause in his current deal.
