Report: Manchester United open Breel Embolo talks

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Basel over a move for highly-rated youngster Breel Embolo.

The 19-year-old, who has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, netted 12 times in 35 appearances for his Swiss club during the 2015-16 campaign.

A number of clubs have been credited with an interest in the Swiss international, but according to 20 Minuten, Man United are currently in talks with Basel as they look to tie up their second summer signing.

It is understood that Man United's pursuit of Embolo is not linked to the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
