Real Madrid plan to offload Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio and Isco to fund a big-money swoop for Paul Pogba, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly keen to offload Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio and Isco this summer in order to fund a big-money swoop for Paul Pogba.

The midfielder is keen to leave Manchester United in this summer's transfer window, and Madrid have been strongly linked with a swoop for the France international.

United's hefty asking price had seemingly priced Madrid out of a move, with Los Blancos already spending big to sign the likes of Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard.

However, according to AS, the Spanish giants have put together a plan to sign Pogba, believing that the sales of Bale, Rodriguez, Ceballos, Asensio and Isco will give them the funds to complete a £180m move.

Rodriguez and Ceballos are widely expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer, while Bale is said to be keen to remain at the club despite not being in the plans of Zinedine Zidane next season.

Earlier this week, meanwhile, it was reported that Madrid want £72.3m each for Asensio and Isco.

Pogba, who has also been linked with a return to Juventus ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, has played in both of United's pre-season games this summer against Perth Glory and Leeds United.
