Manchester United are reportedly 'in the front row' for Gabriel Veron and could make a move for the Palmeiras attacker during this summer's transfer window.
The 18-year-old, who has previously been linked with Manchester City, has scored 11 times and registered five assists in 40 appearances for his Brazilian club in all competitions.
The teenager is expected to switch clubs this summer, and Serie A outfit Sassuolo have been strongly linked with his services in recent days.
However, according to Calciomercato, Man United are still firmly in the running for the youngster and could make their move in the current market.
The report claims that Sassuolo are preparing to step up their interest 'within a few days', meaning that the Red Devils will have to act quickly if they are to bring him to Old Trafford.
Veron, who has represented Brazil Under-17s on 16 occasions, largely operates as a right-sided attacker but is also capable of playing on the left and through the middle.
Man United have already agreed a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer and are preparing to step up their interest in Real Madrid's Raphael Varane and Rennes' Eduardo Camavinga.
