Manchester United are thought to be preparing a bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.
Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been tracking the 23-year-old for a number of months, according to The Metro.
United captain Nemanja Vidic is believed to have advised Ferguson on signing his fellow Serbian.
