Manchester United to make late Gary Cahill swoop?

Manchester United are reportedly planning a late swoop for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.

The England international is currently thrashing out personal terms with Chelsea after a fee was agreed between the two parties.

However, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could take Cahill from under his rival's nose, according to the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are without captain Nemanja Vidic for the rest of the season after the centre-back damaged his knee ligaments at the end of 2011.
