A report claims that Manchester United are after a new playmaker and players in two other positions ahead of next season.

Manchester United have reportedly settled on three positions that they want to strengthen when the transfer window opens.

The Red Devils appear to have turned a corner under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having gone 11 games without defeat prior to the season being brought to a halt by the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the restart date for 2019-20, Manchester Evening News reports that United are already planning ahead for next season.

Solskjaer's men are said to have put together a shortlist of options, made up of wingers, playmakers and midfielders.

Aston Villa's Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund are widely considered to be two of the players United are chasing.

Meanwhile, a separate report claims that five United players could be on their way out of Old Trafford in the summer to help raise further funds.
