Manchester United sign Fulham youngster DJ Buffonge

Seventeen-year-old DJ Buffonge leaves Fulham to join Premier League outfit Manchester United as a scholar.

DJ Buffonge has signed on as a scholar for Manchester United.

The 17-year-old - full name Darren Raekwon McIntosh-Buffonge - has made the switch to Old Trafford from Championship outfit Fulham.

He had a trial period with the Red Devils that started in August, but it was cut short by a groin injury.

Nevertheless, United's academy coaches were suitably impressed by Buffonge's potential to offer him a deal.

Buffonge previously spent time in the academy at Arsenal prior to his move to Fulham in 2010.
