Manchester United, Liverpool eye move for Chelsea's Christian Pulisic?

Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Christian Pulisic's situation at Chelsea, as the winger is considering leaving the club.

Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Christian Pulisic's situation at Chelsea.

The 22-year-old, who was left out of the starting lineup once again in the victory against Everton on Monday night, is yet to start a Premier League match under Blues boss Thomas Tuchel, the manager who handed the winger his senior debut at Borussia Dortmund back in 2016.

Pulisic was one of Chelsea's most improved performers when football resumed after the first lockdown and was viewed as an integral member of the starting squad before Tuchel's arrival.

However, the American faces competition from a host of attacking options, with Mason Mount, Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and more recently Kai Havertz preferred ahead of him in the starting lineup.

After taking nearly nine months to convince previous head coach Frank Lampard and establish himself as a regular starter, it is hard to envisage Pulisic wanting to endure a similar exercise under Tuchel.

According to the Daily Mail, Pulisic is unlikely to have the patience to prove his worth once again at Stamford Bridge, with indications that a summer exit is more likely – opening the door for either Manchester United or Liverpool to make a move.

Pulisic, who cost Chelsea around £58m in January 2019, has started just nine Premier League games so far this campaign, scoring only once in a December victory against Leeds United, who the Blues face at Elland Road this Saturday.
