Manchester United could reportedly sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha for between €30m (£25m) and €40m (£33.5m) during this summer's transfer window.
The 26-year-old has again been an important player for his Portuguese club during the 2021-22 campaign, making 30 appearances in all competitions, contributing three goals in the process.
A recent report claimed that Man United had identified the Portugal international as a leading transfer target, with the Red Devils keen to boost their midfield options this summer.
According to O Jogo, Palhinha will be available for between €30m (£25m) and €40m (£33.5m) ahead of the 2022-23 season, which the 20-time English champions are thought to be prepared to pay.
The midfielder, who is also believed to be of interest to Wolverhampton Wanderers, has more than four years left to run on his contract with Sporting.
Man United are also said to be keen to sign PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo this summer, with the club expected to spend big even if they miss out on a spot in next season's Champions League.
