Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is reportedly angry with the club for pricing him out of a move to either Manchester United or Manchester City this summer.

Harry Maguire is reportedly angry with Leicester City for pricing him out of a move to either Manchester United or Manchester City.

The two Manchester clubs are understood to have identified Maguire as their top defensive target this summer, with United looking to bolster a backline which conceded 54 goals last season and City in the market for a Vincent Kompany replacement.

However, both clubs have seen initial bids of £70m rejected by the Foxes, who are thought to value the England international at up to £90m.

Metro reports that Maguire is unhappy with his club for what he believes is a bloated valuation, citing the £61m fee expected to take Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax to Juventus this summer as a comparison.

The report goes on to claim that Maguire had a gentleman's agreement with Leicester that he could leave this summer should a suitable offer arrive.

Leicester are holding out for a world-record bid for the 26-year-old, though, and are under no pressure to sell, having tied him down to a new five-year contract extension in September.

Maguire could look to push for a move from the inside, with reports suggesting that he has already submitted a transfer request at the King Power Stadium.
