Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo insists that the French club have not signalled any interest in signing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has admitted that he is pleased to see his club being linked with some of the world's best players.

The French club signed Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the summer, and they continue to be linked with other big-name players, but Leonardo has insisted that they have not registered an interest in Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

The former Brazil full-back told Sky Sports News: "It is very nice to see that some of the big players would like to come to us. It is something that we are very happy with.

"Rooney is one of the best players in the world, but we have talked with nobody about him.

"If one day we decide that we want to talk, then the first people that will know will be at Manchester United."

Rooney has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after being dropped for the second leg of his side's Champions League match with Real Madrid.
