Inter Milan to offer Manchester United target Milan Skriniar new contract?

Inter Milan are reportedly eager to tie centre-back Milan Skriniar down to a new contract before the end of the season.

The Slovakia international has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United throughout the January transfer window.

Inter boss Luciano Spalletti declared earlier this week that the 23-year-old will not be sold this month, however, and Calciomercato reports that talks are ongoing with the defender over fresh terms.

Skriniar, who is already under contract until 2022, is expected to see his wages rise from £2.65m a year to £3m should he put pen to paper.

The report indicates that an agreement could be in place in the next month, potentially forcing Man United to look elsewhere for a new central defender.

Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly is thought to be United's top target for the summer window.
