Mats Hummels is reportedly edging closer to leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of this season.
The German international has regularly been linked with a move to Manchester United, although the player has denied making any promises about a transfer to Old Trafford.
However, it appears that that 26-year-old is considering a move away from Die Borussien after the current campaign.
A source close to the Germany camp is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "He is preparing his exit and he gave some of the players signs that his transfer is close."
Borussia currently languish in 10th place in the Bundesliga, 12 points off a Champions League qualification berth.
