Ander Herrera: 'I want to establish myself at Manchester United'

Herrera: 'I am lucky to be at Man Utd'

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has insisted that he wants to establish himself at Old Trafford amid speculation linking him to a move away from England.

Herrera has not started in the Premier League since the 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion in October.

Reports emerged last week that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola wanted to bring the Spaniard to Germany in a deal which would see Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri go the other way.

However, Herrera told MUTV: "Of course I want to play as does every player, but I am at Manchester United where there are a lot of good players.

"I am a lucky guy to be here and I have to see these moments as a challenge for me."

Herrera joined the Red Devils from Athletic Bilbao last summer for a fee of around £28.5m.
