Rio Ferdinand considering China move

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand reportedly considers a move to China when his current deal at Old Trafford expires in 2013.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is thought to be considering a move to China when his current deal at Old Trafford expires in 2013.

The 33-year-old has enjoyed a return to form in recent months following problems with a recurring back injury.

Shanghai Shenhua, who signed Nicolas Anelka from Chelsea in January, are not interested in the England international, according to The Guardian.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently insisted that Ferdinand was part of his future plans at the club.
