Blanc: Angel di Maria's move to Paris Saint-Germain "close" to completion

Di Maria 'close' to completing PSG move

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has confirmed that the club are "close" to completing a deal to sign Manchester United winger Angel di Maria.

The Argentine has been heavily linked with a switch to Parc des Princes, just one season after moving to Old Trafford for a British-record £59.7m fee.

Di Maria failed to show up to the Red Devils' pre-season tour of the United States, indicating that a move away from the Premier League giants is imminent.

After PSG sealed a 2-0 win over United in the US, Blanc told reporters: "Man United and PSG are two big clubs and negotiations can be difficult but we are close to the end."

The French champions are reported to have offered £28.5m for the winger.
