Manchester United's David de Gea places Andres Iniesta as top transfer target

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea insists that he would spend "millions" on bringing Andres Iniesta to Old Trafford.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has insisted that Barcelona star Andres Iniesta is worthy of being at the top of any transfer wishlist

New United manager Louis van Gaal is expected to have more than £100m to spend in the summer transfer window as he outlines his own vision for the North-West outfit.

De Gea, meanwhile, would opt to bring Spain teammate Iniesta to Old Trafford. The shot-stopper told Movistar: "If I had a millions and millions I would buy Iniesta. He is one of the best players in the world. He has character, quality and goal. He has everything."

Van Gaal will take up his position at United following the Netherlands' campaign at the World Cup in Brazil.
