David de Gea has dismissed speculation that he is homesick and is seeking a move back to Spain.
Rumours surfaced earlier this month that the 21-year-old was a target for Real Madrid but De Gea has rejected that idea.
The Spanish goalkeeper has previously been criticised for mistakes at United but says he is ready to fight Anders Lindegaard for the number one jersey.
"I am happy at United and not thinking of a return to Spain," he told The Sun.
"I've accepted the challenge to learn and improve as a professional, and fighting for my place gives me a bigger incentive to play well."
De Gea is expected to start in goal when United take on Chelsea this afternoon at 4pm.
