Chelsea are reportedly ready to do battle with Manchester United for the signature of RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku.
The former Paris Saint-Germain youngster has enjoyed a remarkable season with the German giants, scoring 25 goals and setting up 13 more in 37 matches across all tournaments.
Nkunku's form has supposedly attracted glances from both Man United and Arsenal, with ex-Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick thought to be pushing to secure the 24-year-old's services.
However, Foot Mercato claims that Chelsea have also joined the race for Nkunku, while Manchester City and Real Madrid are also considering bids for the Frenchman.
The report adds that Leipzig will hold out for a fee of £62m to part ways with Nkunku, who will seek a move elsewhere if he feels it will aid his prospects of being called up to the France squad for the 2022 World Cup.
Nkunku has registered a total of 37 goals and 40 assists in 121 games for Leipzig since arriving in 2019, and his contract at the Red Bull Arena does not expire until 2024.
