Chelsea and Manchester United track Lille defender Lucas Digne

Lille defender Lucas Digne is being scouted by both Manchester United and Chelsea, according to reports.

The 19-year-old full back has been in superb form to earn a place in the Lille first team in the early weeks of the season.

Digne was watched by scouts from both United and Chelsea during Lille's 2-0 defeat to Rennes last weekend.

Chelsea are looking at left-back options, with only Ryan Bertrand as current cover to Ashley Cole, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Sir Alex Ferguson is also actively pursuing a successor to 31-year-old Patrice Evra, with Alexander Buttner currently serving as the French international's primary competition.
