Gareth Bale 'not a priority for Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal'

Bale 'not a priority for Man Utd'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly not considering Real Madrid star Gareth Bale a priority in his transfer activity.

The Red Devils have been linked with a big-money move for the Welshman, who could be included in a rumoured swap deal involving goalkeeper David de Gea.

Bale moved to the Bernabeu last summer for a world record £85m fee from Tottenham Hotspur, but he has already been linked with a return to the Premier League.

According to The Express, while United are interested in signing Bale, Van Gaal is more concerned with focusing on his defence and midfield targets, including Mats Hummels and Kevin Strootman.

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is the only player to have signed for the Red Devils so far this month.
