Bacinovic drops down to Serie B

Reported Manchester United and Chelsea transfer target Armin Bacinovic has decided to join Serie B side Hellas Verona on a loan basis.

The Palermo midfielder has struggled with a succession of injuries over the past 12 months that have limited his number of appearances.

Despite the said interest from the English duo, the 22-year-old has revealed that his sole focus is on regaining his fitness.

"I wanted to leave in January but I got injured and I had to stay. Now I'm happy that I will play regularly once again," he said.

"Some time ago I was wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United but that is in the history now. I don't think about that anymore.

"Now I'm just focused to return even stronger. I don't plan to play in Serie B for a long time."

Bacinovic has made nine appearances for the Slovenian national team.
