Arsenal will rival Real Madrid and Barcelona for the signature of Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to a report.

Arsenal will reportedly rival Real Madrid and Barcelona for the signature of Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz during this summer's transfer window.

The 25-year-old has again been an important player for his Italian club this season, making 30 appearances in all competitions, contributing six goals and four assists in the process.

Ruiz has entered the final 18 months of his contract in Naples, though, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal are determined to sign the Spain international during this summer's transfer window, with the Gunners able to secure his services for as little as £25m.

However, the report claims that Real Madrid and Barcelona are also planning moves for the midfielder in the upcoming market.

Ruiz, who has also been linked with Manchester United, has scored 21 times and registered 14 assists in 158 appearances for Napoli since arriving from Real Betis in July 2018.

Arsenal are currently in charge of fourth position in the Premier League table, with the North London club battling to secure a return to the Champions League for next season.
