Agent: 'Ex-Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre in talks with UK clubs'

The agent of Mikael Silvestre has hinted that the former Manchester United defender could soon return to British football.

Silvestre, 36, recently left Portland Timbers, having made just eight appearances for the MLS outfit.

"Mikael has attracted a lot of interest since leaving Portland and we are currently in discussions with a number of clubs in the UK and MLS," agent Gordon Reid told Sky Sports News.

"Mikael is fully fit and would be an asset to anyone with the experience he has."

Watford, Brentford and Blackpool are reportedly among a host of clubs that are interested in Silvestre's signature.
