AC Milan 'in talks with Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic'

AC Milan are reportedly in talks with Manchester United over a move for midfielder Nemanja Matic, with the Serbian out of favour at old Trafford.

Matic has made just six Premier League appearances this season, with greater opportunities available in recent weeks because of injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.

According to the Daily Mail, Milan are interested in signing the 31-year-old this month and have begun discussions with United.

Matic's current deal at United expires in the summer, but it does have the option to be extended until the summer of 2021.

Since arriving at Old Trafford from Chelsea in 2017, Matic has made 99 appearances, scoring three goals and registering four assists.

The original transfer cost United £40m, although any move this month would likely be at a cut price.
