La Liga giants Barcelona are monitoring the situation of Rafael Leao at AC Milan, according to a report.

The 25-year-old has been tipped to swap San Siro for the Premier League or Barcelona for several months, while French champions Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in his services.

Leao has established himself as a star player for Milan since joining the club from Lille in August 2019, scoring 59 goals and providing 54 assists in 221 appearances across all competitions.

The Portugal international, who was named Serie A Player of the Year in Milan's 2021-22 title-winning campaign, recorded 15 goals and 14 assists in 47 appearances for the Rossoneri last season.

Wel-back at Old Trafford? Ten Hag 'considered' signing ex-Man United striker

Manchester United reportedly discussed the possibility of re-signing Danny Welbeck during Erik ten Hag's tenure at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag was relieved of his duties by the Red Devils earlier this week after two-and-a-half years in charge of the club, with Sporting Lisbon's Ruben Amorim set to be appointed as his successor.

The Dutchman survived the axe at the end of last season when he surprisingly steered Man United to FA Cup glory, before being handed a new two-year contract and over £200m to spend on five new first-team signings.

However, Ten Hag won just four of his opening 14 matches in all competitions this season and a 2-1 defeat at West Ham United in the Premier League proved to be the final nail in his coffin, with the 54-year-old leaving the Red Devils sitting 14th in the table.

Man United 'identify' Alphonso Davies alternative due to wage demands

Manchester United have reportedly started to consider other options in the transfer market at left-back, due to the predicted wage demands of Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies.

The Canadian is set to leave the Allianz Arena on a free transfer next summer, with Real Madrid and Barcelona among the clubs to have been linked with the offensive left-back.

Davies has overcome injury problems to be a regular for club and country again this season, missing just one game so far, contributing to three goals.

In his seventh season in Bavaria, it appears as though this will be the 23-year-old's last, as no new contract has been agreed yet, ahead of the January window where Davies will be free to speak to other clubs.

Chelsea 'monitoring three strikers' ahead of January window

Chelsea have allegedly identified three forwards who they may look to try to sign at some point during 2025.

On Wednesday night, the streak of Enzo Maresca's side scoring in 13 successive matches came to an end as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United in the EFL Cup fourth round.

The Italian had opted to make 11 changes to his starting lineup, the likes of Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku failing to take their opportunities in rare starts versus top-flight opposition.

However, as many as 19 goals have been scored in nine Premier League fixtures, the second-best return in the division behind Manchester City.

"From what I'm hearing" - Spurs to accelerate January plan after Van de Ven injury?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made signing a centre-back their number one priority in the January transfer window.

The Lilywhites suffered yet another blow over the fitness of Micky van de Ven in Wednesday's 2-1 EFL Cup last-16 win over Manchester City, as the Dutchman came off in the first half with an apparent hamstring concern.

Van de Ven spent almost two months on the sidelines with a similar problem during the 2023-24 campaign, and Postecoglou is short of genuine alternatives to the 23-year-old at the back.

Radu Dragusin is the first port of call, but the Romanian has also been linked with an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January, having struggled for game time over Van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi has apparently emerged as a transfer target for three European heavyweights amid uncertainty surrounding his long-term future.

The Morocco international has established a reputation as one of the best in the world in his position since bursting onto the scene with Borussia Dortmund, whom he spent two years on loan at from Real Madrid.

Hakimi subsequently became a Serie A champion with Inter Milan before making the €68m (£57m) switch to the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2021, since when he has won three successive Ligue 1 crowns and has helped PSG assume top spot in the 2024-25 top-flight table.

The 25-year-old - who also captains the Morocco national team - has 16 goals and 22 assists to show from 130 matches in a PSG jersey, scoring twice and setting up three more efforts in 2024-25 already.

Not in Amorim's plans: Man United 'ready to axe four players' next year

Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Victor Lindelof are reportedly not in the plans of Ruben Amorim, with the Portuguese widely expected to be confirmed as Manchester United's new manager in the near future.

Amorim is set to arrive at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon, although it is understood that he will remain with the Green and Whites until the November international break before officially making the move to Manchester.

The 39-year-old has already allegedly identified three players that he wants to bring with him to Man United, while according to TEAMtalk, decisions on the futures of four of the current squad have been made.

The report claims that Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Lindelof are not in Amorim's plans, with all four players set to leave in 2025, potentially as early as January, although mid-season departures for any of them will be difficult.
