Carrick has since been appointed as Man Utd's permanent manager, and while potential incomings are at the forefront of many people's minds, the futures of several current first-team players remain unclear, with a number possibly on the move during the summer.

The club attempted to shift the full-back on during the 2025 transfer window, but a failure to find a club means Malacia will leave upon the expiration of his contract in 2026.
