Matteo Darmian makes way in an otherwise unchanged team from the one that were held to a goalless draw by Chelsea on Monday, with Wayne Rooney continuing to lead the line and the misfiring Memphis Depay starting on the bench.

For the visiting Swans, caretaker manager Alan Curtis rings the changes as he looks to build on the goalless draw at Crystal Palace last time out.

Bafetimbi Gomis drops to the bench as Andre Ayew comes back into the side to lead the line, while in midfield, Jack Cork is the only player to retain his place.

Jonjo Shelvey, who has been linked with a move in the transfer window this month, misses the trip entirely.
