Reece James and Antonio Rudiger return from minor injuries to feature in the Chelsea starting lineup for Thursday's Premier League fixture at Manchester United.

While James missed Sunday's win over West Ham United, Rudiger has been absent for two fixtures at a time when he has told Thomas Tuchel that he will be departing Stamford Bridge in the summer.

However, the pair both take their places in a strong Blues XI as they bid to record their first top-flight victory at Old Trafford since May 2013.

Those are the only two alterations from the last game with Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek dropping down to the substitutes' bench.

Despite netting the decisive goal against the Hammers, Christian Pulisic has to make do with a spot among the replacements, as do Hakim Ziyech and Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Telles; McTominay, Matic; Elanga, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo

Chelsea: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kante, Alonso; Mount; Havertz, Werner
Subs: Arrizabalaga, Chalobah, Sarr, Loftus-Cheek, Saul, Kenedy, Pulisic, Ziyech, Lukaku
