Team News: Wayne Rooney named on the bench

Wayne Rooney has been named on the Manchester United bench for their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Anders Lindegaard starts in place of David de Gea for the home side, while Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs also come into the team.

Spurs keep faith with Brad Friedel in goal, while Clint Dempsey and Moussa Dembele are also given starts.
