Patrice Evra filmed saying N-word

Patrice Evra was once shown saying the N-word on French television.

He used several expletives as well as the racist slur "n*****" in 2004 while being filmed for documentary Le Periple Rouge, which tracked the Monaco side on their way to the European final.

Evra has been embroiled in a recent race scandal in England after Luis Suarez used a similar word to address the 30-year-old.

Last night Suarez offered a general apology over the race spat but didn't apologise personally to Evra.
