Ashley Young: 'Manchester United aiming to win everything'

Manchester United winger Ashley Young insists that his side are aiming for nothing less than a clean sweep across four competitions this season.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has insisted that the club's winning mentality means that they are hungry for success in four separate competitions this season.

United claimed the Premier League title last season but came up short in cup competitions, which included an early exit in the Champions League.

Young has revealed that new manager David Moyes made it clear early this summer that he wants to win everything this season, with the midfielder happy for his side to be labelled the "greedy bunch".

He told the Daily Star: "Yes, we are greedy, but in a nice way. People can say we are the greedy bunch and, in the hunt for honours, that is correct because it's precisely what we are.

"We all have that hunger and desire to succeed and look back at the end of the season and say we won this trophy and that trophy. It can be looked upon as being greedy but we are greedy because we want to win all four trophies this season.

"The new manager came in at the start of the season and told us that he wanted to win all of the four competitions we are in. He has the same winning mentality as every one of our players has."

Moyes is currently preparing his squad for the first Manchester derby of the season, which takes place on Sunday afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.
