Report: Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to extend contract

Van Gaal 'to extend Man Utd contract'

Louis Van Gaal has reportedly expressed an interest in extending his Manchester United contract past 2017.

The 64-year-old previously stated that he will see out his Red Devils contract before retiring from football.

According to the Daily Star, however, the Dutchman is so happy at Old Trafford that he is willing to discuss a new deal in the New Year.

Van Gaal became manager of Man Utd in 2014, weeks after leading the Netherlands to third place at the 2014 World Cup.
