United look for Pogba return?

Manchester United want to bring back ex-Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba to the club, 18 months after he left to join Italian giants Juventus.

The Old Trafford outfit have witnessed Chelsea move to re-sign their own former player Nemanja Matic in the January window and are lining up a bid for the 20-year-old, the Sunday Mirror claims.

However, David Moyes's plan to swoop for the French international could be dented by the Turin side said to be offering Pogba a new four-year deal worth up to £50,000-a-week to keep him tied to the Serie A champions.

Before the player left Manchester United on a free transfer in 2011, his agents reportedly wanted a £30,000-per-week contract for their client, which Premier League club turned down.

Pogba made his international debut for France in a World Cup qualifier against Georgia last year.
