Chris Smalling hails Manchester United "team spirit" after unbeaten run

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has said that the good atmosphere in the dressing room is the reason behind their current unbeaten run.

United haven't tasted defeat since their loss to Manchester City at the start of November, a run that has stretched to 10 league games and has included seven wins.

Smalling told reporters: "I think we've shown our team spirit in games where we've had to dig in or come from behind. It shows how well we all get on. We're all happy no matter what position we're in and we work for each other.

"If we can prolong our consistency and continue our hard work in training, things will click and we'll creep up the league."

Smalling has made 14 appearances for United this season.
