Paul Scholes wants Manchester United to re-sign Paul Pogba

Paul Scholes is keen to see Manchester United secure the services of French midfielder Paul Pogba for a second time.

Paul Scholes has admitted that he would like to see Paul Pogba back in a Manchester United shirt.

It was Scholes's decision to come out of retirement in 2012 that helped to push a then-teenage Pogba down the midfield pecking order at Old Trafford.

Pogba moved to Juventus on a free transfer that summer and in Turin he has been able to forge himself a reputation as one of the world's brightest prospects.

With that in mind, Scholes has conceded that the 22-year-old would be the perfect acquisition for the Red Devils.

"I'd like Luka Modric. How old is he now? Might be a bit too old, but he's a great player," he told the United We Stand fanzine.

"We probably need a centre-forward but there's not too many of them about so I'm gonna say I'd like us to bring Paul Pogba back."

Pogba has made 39 appearances for Juve in all competitions this term, from which he has scored six goals.
