Robin van Persie "can't wait" to get hands on Premier League trophy

RVP "can't wait" to lift trophy

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has expressed his excitement at finally lifting the Premier League trophy.

The Netherlands international helped the Red Devils secure their 20th title by scoring a hat-trick against Aston Villa last month.

While the squad celebrated into the early hours following their victory, the North West outfit will soon be able to get their hands on the elusive silverware.

"It is the feeling you dream of," Van Persie told the club's official website. "Everything is about lifting the trophy. There were some great pictures taken after the Aston Villa game, but there was one thing missing from them all - the trophy.

"That's the picture that will be framed in my house - me, lifting the Barclays Premier League trophy. I can't wait for that moment."

Van Persie joined the Red Devils from league rivals Arsenal last summer.
