Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has praised the club's travelling support after United moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young were amongst the goals as Sir Alex Ferguson's side secured a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Monday, and Rooney took to Twitter to hail their fans.

"Great result tonight. Have to say that our fans were incredible tonight. Drove us on," Rooney tweeted.

United face Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League next Sunday.
