Wayne Rooney makes quick-fire hat-trick as United hit seven

Wayne Rooney has scored a quick-fire hat-trick in Manchester United's 7-0 pre-season victory against the Seattle Sounders.

The 25-year-old England forward fired his three goals in 21 second-half minutes to continue United's successful pre-season.

They have now scored 11 in two games after beating New England 4-1 last week.

Ashley Young was the only new United summer signing to feature, as goalkeeper David de Gea and defender Phil Jones were unused substitutes.
