PSV Eindhoven: Chances of Memphis Depay leaving this summer are "very high"

Premier League-linked winger Memphis Depay will be allowed to leave PSV Eindhoven in the summer, should a high enough offer be made.

PSV Eindhoven director Marcel Brands has revealed that the club will reluctantly sell in-demand winger Memphis Depay this summer, opening the door for a potential switch to Manchester United.

The 21-year-old has been heavily tipped for a move to Old Trafford, with his former Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal said to be lining up a £20m bid.

United are not alone in showing an interest in the Dutchman, who is also supposedly on the wanted list of Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

This has led to Brands conceding that a move away from the Eredivisie at the end of the season is inevitable, adding that the club will not stand in Depay's way should a big-money offer be made.

"The chances are very high that he leaves. If you see what clubs are enquiring about him, they really are the best in Europe," the Daily Star quotes the PSV chief as saying.

"When I talk for PSV I would say he is not ready and should continue here for another year. But I am realistic and if I worked at a big European club, I'd buy him without question.

"With a heavy heart [we would let him go], because a great player and a great guy leaves. But we are also proud that a boy from the academy is going to make such a step."

Depay has scored 24 goals in his 34 appearances in all competitions for Eindhoven this season.
