Phil Jones reveals that he is "looking forward to" taking part in Manchester United's pre-season tour of the United States later this month.

Phil Jones has revealed that he is "looking forward to" taking part in Manchester United's pre-season tour of the United States.

Jose Mourinho's side will travel to USA next weekend, and a busy pre-season tour will see the Red Devils take on Los Angeles Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, before returning to Europe.

Jones has revealed that every player is aware of what is required of them this summer, and the Englishman is looking to make an impression ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

"Everyone is looking forward to it. We know exactly what the manager expects from us and he knows the players inside and out," Jones told United's official website.

"He'll have organised this pre-season period exactly how he wants it - when we'll train, when we'll rest and when we'll have commercial work to do. I'm sure it will be a great tour and I'm looking forward to it."

The 25-year-old, had been linked with a move away from Man United towards the end of last season, but it has been reported that Mourinho wants to keep the versatile defender in this summer's transfer window.
