Paul Pogba is set to be used as a number 10 when Manchester United resume their 2019-20 Premier League campaign, according to a report.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly planning to use Paul Pogba as a number 10 when the Red Devils resume their 2019-20 Premier League campaign on June 19.

The France international has not turned out for United since December due to an ankle problem, but the midfielder has returned to full fitness over the lockdown period.

The 20-time English champions are due to take on Tottenham Hotspur on their return to Premier League action next Friday, and according to The Sun, Pogba is set for a new role in the first XI.

The report claims that the 2018 World Cup winner's presence as a number 10 during a recent training match means that he is expected to play at the top of a midfield diamond against Jose Mourinho's side.

Pogba has largely operated on the left side of a midfield two or three since returning to Old Trafford, but the January arrival of Bruno Fernandes could see him change positions for the rest of the season.

The Frenchman continues to be linked with a move away from the club, although it is thought that neither Juventus nor Real Madrid will be able to afford him during this summer's transfer window.
