Michael Owen says that he is delighted with his fitness as he undertakes a training session for the first time since November.

Manchester United striker Michael Owen could make a return to action this month as he continues to recover from a thigh strain.

The former Newcastle United and Liverpool frontman has not played for the Red Devils since November after suffering a thigh muscle strain.

Owen tweeted: "Hallelujah!!! Trained today for the first time and all felt great. Onwards and upwards."

The 32-year-old has only made four appearances for the Premier League champions this season.
