David Moyes hails Wayne Rooney's performances

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney receives praise from his manager David Moyes for the performances that he has produced this season.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has praised Wayne Rooney for the performances that he has put in for the club this season.

The England international has scored 13 and assisted a further 10 goals during his 25 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.

Speaking about the striker's displays ahead of tomorrow's Manchester derby, Moyes said: "His form throughout the season has been very good. He's spoken about a lot because of the ability that he's got as a footballer. From the first game, he's been a great team player."

Rooney, 28, is the leading goalscorer in Manchester derby history.
